adsl speed

cam anyone spot whats wrong with these figures from my router so I can see why my adsl line is so slow?

ADSLLink Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3776 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 37 db 10 db
Noise Margin 2147483646 db 23 db

well, that seems pretty darn noisy to me !!! check your adsl filter, and if you are able to goto the bt site where they will do a line check for you online. How is your phone for voice comms?

DT.

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8096 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 22.0 db 8.0 db
Noise Margin 13.7 db 21.0 db

moved, jiggled,

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3616 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 37 db 10 db
Noise Margin 9 db 23 db

I can never remember which way the figures should be to be better,

voice comms is noisy, I think I need to put a call in about it,

That should be good for full whack 8meg though the 1st result was better
greater the SRN (Noise margin) the better so 2147483646 should have been good :chuckle: however certainly bad on this occasion

Mine is norm just a tad over 7 meg but had a line drop yesterday and its dropped it a bit.

Reserved Bandwidth (kbit/s) up/down = 448 / 6944
Output Power (dBm) up/down = 12.0 / 19.5
Attenuation (dB) up/down = 24.0 / 39.0
Noise Margin (dB) up/down = 25.0 / 6.0 Sometimes 7 when it rains

seems I should be happy with what I have

For Telephone Number (like I’m gonna show you lot!) on Exchange FINDHORN

Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a line rate up to 2Mbps.

Our test also indicates that your line should be able to support a potential ADSL Max broadband line rate of 3Mbps or greater.

The actual ADSL Max line rate supportable will be determined during the first 10 days of use, after which time the highest stable rate possible will be set.
