Well, I’m not entirely sure if this is the proper section for this question, but what the hell, I’ll ask here anyway.

The problem I’m having is in configuring interface E0 on a cisco 2500 series router. Despite much searching, and intervention of a worldy sort, I am unable to get Line Protocol for E0 set to up. anyone got any ideas as to how this situation is rectified?

did you try no shut. Also you should be able to type ? and you will see what commands are available.

What model of router, whats it connecting to, using what type of cable (cross-over/ straight). Whats the output of a “sho interface <interface number>”

also a sho ip int brief would help :slight_smile:
