Check your mirrors for christs sake

some bunch of yanks are going to rear end you if you don’t put your foot on the gas !

Have you seen the output of these guys ! Ohh and there is another team at #15 who are after you as well …

Don’t worry Dezy, I am going to be home for 10 days starting Friday night and will kick the farm back up and sort out the issues there. Should be worth about 2500 a day. I have also added a redundant 3 mbit ISP to ensure full flow of IP to and from the farm, Linux router time again!

I see PCZ has kicked it up again as well. Might be a real race for the number one spot! :stomp:  Now where is that bevy of Bartons.

No doubt a bit of pimping might be in order, but the 2500 will make there effort at least longer than the predicted 30 days.

Now that number 1 ain’t being given up without a fight. :nono:

US Distributed, thats where Jeff went.
Just took a look at their forums (which are slower than a fossilised tortoise on ganja) They don’t seem to be getting too excited about their ability to catch TPR.
I’m sure TPR output will respond.

Thats true.

Not long and I’ll have got to my 10K target in seti…

at the mo just got three machines on LM, and by using DC monitor on one machine to monitor them all seems to be going well. Once the milestone is reached, I’ll be looking at 1K per day

DT.

I think a few people switched back to SETI (me included) to try to re-stomp De Klamms and Team EDGE.

If our LM team starts to look like it’s in real danger, I’m sure some will switch back

:chin:

As soon as i hit 10k in seti and get adsl installed me and my bro will be back top life mapping

Lets get to it TPR :bondage:

Give me a 1.02 client without download bug and I’ll be back. I haven’t the time I’m afraid to babysit LM clients 24hrs a day.

FWIW, which I admit is very little, I didn’t have a problem with the 1.01 client… one was on dial-up and two were on office fat pipe connection and they never faltered. Could you not try again with a fresh install on just one machine, see how it goes?

1.0.0.1 was catching and deleting the buggy downloads ok for me; now testing 1.0.0.2rc1 and it looks even better
A Linux version of rc1 if ready too an can be received by email from LM (see the LM board).
I expect the next cli will be official released soon if the aren’t any issues showing up. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll get back on LM when I have time to sort the machines out, but that may be a while yet :(. In a weeks time i’ll have one evening free to do something! wow! :p.

Yeah, they are usually pretty quick but they’ve been pretty slow the past 24-36hrs.

As far as catching TPR… maybe… maybe not. US-Distributed hits certain projects hard for a few days at a time every so often so their output just takes off. I think the steady output of them(I guess I should say us ;)) will be right around 5500 to 6000 a day. At that rate, TPR will be safe for quite some time.

Crunch on TPR!

Good to hear from you Jeff. I’m sure we all look forward to battling it out some time in the future.

Your site is much more useable now, guess I caught it at a bad time.

Tried, tried and tried m8. Finally stopped when all I had running was a cache of 9 on a PIII-750 and even that locked up every 2-3 days.

I sat on the clients for my one whole day off of the week at the beginning of last week and saw my output rise dramatically from screen saver levels. The time required from me, however, is not acceptable - one day a week is all I get if I’m lucky and I’m not giving that up.

Now that LM have found the problem, I’ll wait for 1.02 and then throw some power back on.

Looking at the LM boards, that won’t be long !

The CLI 1.0.02 beta version is available now. It’s excellent. To get it, email them at lifemapper@ku.edu and ask them for it.

To be hounest I have had no problems with 1.0.01 so unless it can cache more, then I won’t bother as the only issue I have is the cache size
