couple of noob questions! :)

ok:

  1. can i run boinc seti on more more than one computer - using DIFFERENT settings? ie, i dont want it to run at home while im using the pc, only at night and the day when im at work, and…

  2. does seti / boinc use any ports to access the internet? and if so what are they?

  1. Not 100% sure but basically you can setup various zoned preferences (Named home, office, laptop etc) which will have different working times

  2. It uses pure http port 80.

yeah i have set up work / home etc but i dont know where to set them for different pcs, or even if you can… :slight_smile:

oh yeah, and i managed to post this in the wrong section :stuck_out_tongue:

you need to going into the settings for each PC and set it. THis is all on the web page not the client software - but the software does need to be set ot run with preferences not run always.

in order for the PCs to apear in the list they need to have downloaded a w00t or 2
