Well I’ve been signed up with CPDN a while, just now started crunching it being I noticed it uploads at certain check points being I run other projects also. Have BOINC set to run CPDN alongside another project, currently rosetta at 1hr switching intervals and 50% clock on processor, so don’t expect any real output boost from me ;). Still another 1500 hours to go on the current model.

:nod: You get credit at checkpoints throughout the work (which is just as well) but often you get a completion bonus depending on how the credit has allocated through the rest of the WU. If you crash & Burn, you’ve still got most of the credit for the work done :slight_smile:

CP will return to its previous checkpoint when preempted so better to go for a longer period imo. If you’ve got enough memory, set the Boinc General Preferences to “Leave applications in memory while preempted”
