Dear old BT


I have been on broadband for 5 months, every evening the ADSL link gets flakey and recently i am lucky to get 20 mins uptime before losing connection. To be fair to Wanadoo, they have been ok, sent me an uprade disk to rebuild modem software, sent me a new modem, ugraded it by internet connection - but still nothing. Diagnostics all over the place and finally BT got involved. Engineer finally came out today and tested the main box, signal to noise ratio of 5!!!

Changed the box and SNR is now 18. And my connection stays up. (Leave it Mincer!) :wink:

i’ve been having broad band problems too lately :slight_smile: Telecom sent a spike down our cable and fried our router :frowning: it was up the next day but it was just sad.
