Genome@home Weekly Report

Team Status

As of 00:00 30/03/2002, all production count in units unless otherwise indicated, +/- figures denote figures relative to last week.

Total units/genes: 131,136/11,272 (last 168 hours: +16498 (+161))
Team Rank: 35 (+5)
Active members: 23 (+0)
+4 Teams, mean production: 4772 (-3506)
-4 Teams, mean production: 4442 (+2902)

I’ll start by looking up - The next team above that outproduced us week on week (Alliance francophone) lies in 13th and produced just shy of 19,000 - between us at position 35 and them in 13th most produce less than 10,000 per week, some considerably less so. GENEtals continue to be the only competition in our region. Current (well, currently latest statsman data) scores are:

Rank…Active…Act%…Team…Total/U…units/wk…units/day…
34…47…48.5…GENEtals…131,890…14,096.0…1,946.8
35…23…63.9…Phoenix Rising…130,211…16,246.3…3,695.2

-1679

Thus the gap has closed just over 1000 units since the last report a week last Wednesday. Caches may be building however, I’d be willing to bet they are, but then mine are too ;).

Looking up was to give the good news first, because as it happens we have some bad as well this week. AMDMB.COM increased their output by 23% and produced 23255 units, which is enough to cause some concern. If we stopped it would take them about 1 1/2 weeks so we have time but nevertheless it’s something to be wary of - let’s see if we can get a pimping party that just doesn’t just borrow our existing SETI memebers ;). AMDMB remain the only potential problem.

Genome news page :: Genome Yahoo newsgroup

No news/scandalous rumours this week. Again. This could be a recurring theme, the Yahoo newsgroup is less active than the Folding 2 one and the last official update was the first in several months.

Detail:

Just looking at the above and comparing, a few negatives in relative output this week, offset by an extra-extra large output by Andyu. Well done to everyone nevertheless though :). Welcome to this week to a few new members, and also to a couple who have resumed Genome production. I can’t remember who you all are so i’ll mention none ;).

Appendix/Notes
[ul]
[li]Topic headings are hyperlinked to data sources or relevant pages.
[/li][li]Total units/genes production for TPR is calculated since the last edition, last 168 hours data is for comparison with all other figures from statsman.
[/li][li]+/-4 team measure is the mean of average production of the nearby teams - in comparison with our own weekly output figures it gives an approximation of our output respective to peer teams. If +4 figures are high we’re going nowhere fast, if -4 figures are high we’re being outpaced.
[/li][li]Genome @home units will vary in length, ‘difficulty’ is approximated into required processing time with the units measure.

Statmungous as usual mate.
35th, hard to believe we’re doing so well.
Oh, and I’m browsing via a BT connection atm

Sorry

Thanks for a very comprehensive report.

It’s only comprehensive in so far as the team info I’m afraid, I’m not setup to capture movements/resumptions/new members amongst ourselves so there isn’t much on stomps etc. that I can fairly and uniformly add. I’ll look into adding some more relative production figures next week, prototype it for the Folding one most likely - These tables really are in spreadsheet territory now but I never get around to doing that .

There is something that’s concerning me - GENEtals’ Testiculator may be running by now but I don’t see a huge bump in output - I’m worried about a -nonet jump assist of 10,000 :).

Still no ISP replacement other than the two stand in accounts with v21. I’m wanting a long term, stable replacement for my usage pattern e.g. all the time quite literally, only they’re [incomprehensibly] expensive…so I need to look harder :/. I really hate not being able to Fold but I’ve no choice of doing so effeciently at the moment.

Cheerz for the news Mr nitrile!!

good read,nice 1 mate

lool with the time change coming in and not everyone dumping in order for statsman to update we are currently 6th

Cracking report nitrile - I apologise again for my slump, but hopefully should be bcak up to full steam once I gaet back home tomorrow night.

/prays to the God of New Rigs that everything is going well in it’s unattended state…

Superb report Nitrile, I will do a daily report on Thursday, I will have enuff info for that then
I should be back Genoming a bit more than the last week or two as I have lost my Seti Race race with Aero, thought I would so I can share resources between the 2 DC’s again

Cracking m8

Hey, I wrote this 3 days ago, read the Folding report instead! ;).

Statsman/Genome is a bit flaky but, a minor update regardless:

Rank…Active…Act%…Team…Total/U…units/wk…units/day…
33…??..??.?..GENEtals…139129…??,???.?..?,???.?
34…21…58.3…Phoenix Rising…136906…??,???.?..?,???.?

2223.8

Gap has increased by 544.

Not a problem here, happy to see it’s still of interest.

Looks like the Statsman team page for Genome has failed to generate correctly today.
