LifeMapper Team Progress
As of 9:00am BST

It would seem that all I do these days is make excuses, well after 6 hours of work and a couple of sleep, I am now here to see if I can report the stats correctly, spelling mistakes aside;)

Today we start with the Man of the Mysteries, Mulda moving up 2 places to 8th after straightening out a Curly99 and showing this is serious business and not comedy with a boot to the rear of Goody600.

DoubleTop follows through with a perfect action to show why he is named Double, rising 2 places to 9th with perfect out shots, again over Curly99 and Goody600.

Sir Ulli has no need to show his credentials to the GAteKeeper, for all know his word to be incontestable, gaining immediate entry to 12th.

And finally, following what is now almost definitely a TPR Lifemapper tradition, new kid on the block Nigma has a 3-way  stomp of The Master Riddler, the Japanese sounding ladies man and the Greek God of wine to reside in 22nd.

I have checked the stats and I know them to be correct in terms of the calculations but what do they show?

Well, the aim is show who has increased production and who has fallen by the wayside relative to themselves rather than where they stand in the team - the other stats show that.

An average of each persons production for the last 7 days (or as many as the person has been a member if less) is taken and then todays production is expressed as a percentage of that average.

Of course, with anything where averages are being used, the more data the better and so as I continue to compile stats on each person, the performance stat becomes more reliable.

Because of the lack of data on new joiners and the distortion that this creates, I am thinking of placing a restriction of 8 days of production required before I will calculate performance:chin:

What do you think?

top read again Bob_A_Job

Top read, Bob-A-Job

I do not think (provided there is a note in the stats) that an 8 day requirement would be a problem. However, as we are a small team in it for fun I don’t actually see a problem with the odd anomaly as at present. As you are the news-meister, I would say that it is your call

Great read mate! Thanks for the news Bob!

Thank you Sir Robert of Employment!

Anyone else up for the 100k challenge? If you think about it, at 2k per day we are about 1 month away from that. Pretty darn good goal if you ask this Yank.

Oh yeah… thanks again for the news!!!

We should :stomp: the uncleaned sometime tomorrow, hopefully in time for the stats update at 9am:D

Thanks for popping in:cheers:

Thanks Just1vet!

Top quality news - are Lifemapper providing XML of the data for extraction or is this a manual update job??

Either way - love the stats and really appreciate the time you are giving to this project.

They do provide an XML of the data but to be honest, it makes no sense to me as I have zero skills in that area.

I was going to write something to extract the relevant stuff but since I often do the news from work, it would have to run on the work PC as well as the home one…

For now, it is as easy to pop the stats from the website into a spreadsheet, with the last 15 days worth and just re-sort everything into the relevant categories, pop them into a news template, reformat and write a commentary.

Sounds easy but as you know, writters block is a killer;)

Glad it is appreciated though:cheers:

Top news again!

Let’s go for the 100K and top spot

@DoubleTop
Me :Poke: ing on the Lifemapper board to get some well structured XML realtime data soon;)
