Lifemapper Q

Is there a CLI version of Lifemapper?

Not yet…

http://planetspectre.com/cgi-bin/lifemapper/ikonboard.cgi?;act=ST;f=8;t=56

but they are working on it.

Sounds good.

I’m in then

Hello TPR lifemappers!

Cool! Welcome to LifeMapping! :wavey:

Welcome to the mapping!

Thanks for the welcomes guys

I just figured that lifemapping is a little more beneficial to the world [than seti], IMHO.

So here I am, any quick tips that aren’t in the FAQ/sticky ?

Welcome to the Team Metz2000, you should be in the news tomorrow mate.

As for quick tips…run two instances per machine if you don’t plan on running it as another service along side Seti/Folding, etc

Do a search if it isn’t in the sticky, keyword “instances” should find it.

Welcome again.

Cool  … some more Qs:

[ul][li]Anyone know when I’ll show up on lifemapper’s stats pages?
[/li][li]Are there any better stats sites/tools?
[/li][li]Any way to cache work units?
[/li][*]Roughly how long does a WU take on a 2Ghz CPU, and do times vary much?[/ul]

Welcome to the team

The stats update (usually) twice a day - at 9am and 9pm
There are no better stats sites/tools that I know of
The only way to cache is to set up multiple instances and start them at intervals
Not sure about timings.

hmmmm I may look into this when a cli gets released

Biology is my one true love (see forum name)
