You don’t get official credit for the work done since it’s still BETA, but it’ll just help them get that much closer to a REAL win/linux CLI!!!

Good news Jeff!
excellent, nearly there
got all excited until I realised that you get no credit for using this CLI. Once it goes “gold” I’ll be in the team like a rat up a drain pipe

I’ll be on it faster than speedyj on a tin of ambrosia
Most excellent news for the project - I’ve put one of my machines onto the job to assist with the testing
DT.
/edit …and a TeamPhoenixRisingBeta group has been created on the beta server <nudge@Jeff>
Excellent news its progressing well, very much like the
fact than caching of jobs is mentioned and obviously
very much on its way

 I got soo excited about caching that I didn’t even think of a Beta TPR.
Win CLI looks good and is very fast.
Caching algorythm needs some additional work to optimize it.
Basically: Looks very good, only some smaller things to iron out.
hopefully they’ll sort out a dual processor tab so I don’t have to run two separate instances.

Yep, would be a nice option too after the caching works like expected; let’s improve it step for step

/edit - just deleted the jobpacket.dat and it starts again fine, and kept all the results.dat as well, have archived the jobpacket.dat for LM
could someone please post this on the LM forums, I’m off out and not got time to register.

There’s a new and improved beta for your testing pleasure…

Seems LM has listened and improved the CLI using everybody’s recommendations… can you imagine that.
One step closer guys… one step closer!
Well smart people usually take smart suggestions.
sweet, I’ll give it a go.
Just remember, you don’t get “official” credit for the work done BUT you are helping the project out. If that’s your cup of tea, then great! If not, no problem.
Just have fun.
well guess lifemappers wont work with Linux Mandrake 9.1
Been in touch with Lifemapper and have a results of that contact.
Hi, there,
I’ve just made adjustments to our RedHat client that I believe will allow it to run in other distributions of Linux. I tested it on my Mandrake box. Would you like to try it? You can get it from this link:
http://www.cria.org.br/~ricardo/Lifemapper/TextClient/lifemapper-i386-linux.
tar.gz
<http://www.cria.org.br/~ricardo/Lifemapper/TextClient/lifemapper-i386-linux

Let me know the results.
Thanks for your interest.

Now if I can just figure out how to work Linux Mandrake I might have something…
