Seems they are doing another rebuild or something and the servers have now been down for a couple hours already. Not really meaning to sound negative but how often is it necessary to work on servers for hours upon hours? I think I’m going to switch back to Folding@Home for the weekend since that is how long they are saying this could last and I hate seeing my electric meter tick away when nothing is being accomplished.
So… have at my bottom Maj… I’ll be a sitting duck for you this weekend.
Yeah, I was doing that but I went to two instances of Lifemapper so I could just concentrate on that. Maybe I’ll just do what you guys are doing and run 1 and 1(at least 'til the server is back up for good).
As of this moment most clients should be able to connect successfully. Bulk of the work is done. If your client is not connecting,
then the orphan work unit could be a problem.

Jeff, please read this post on LM forum. It addresses your concern over lost numbers.
We do appreciate your support of our project. Sorry to dissapoint you.

From what I understand, this reduction of mapped (sub)species hit back to the user stats because they are linked in some sort. Same time it shouldn’t have influenced the computed models.
I’m 99% sure I also lost jobs but there’s that 1% of doubt… maybe I didn’t but I’m just about sure I did.
BUT, thanks for addressing my concerns on the LM boards. It’s nice… err… scratch that… It’s extremely nice to have someone involved in this project frequent our boards.
Jeff,
Please email us with your LM handle/email and # of jobs you expected to have (some sort of history, in case you have it). Job #s should not have changed. This needs to be checked out.
Thanks.
