Just a quick cut and paste jobbie from Jeff’s excellent stats

Stats may fluctuate for a while as Lifemapper sort out Lens bug.
Jeff noticed an error with his 24 hr stats, but i will use them anyways as this is my only source of data.

Curly

Thanks for the news Curly. :thumbsup:

An interesting thing just happened. I woke up to find both my computers dedicated to Lifemapper had caused a GPF (or whatever it’s called in XP). I started the CLI again and it immediately stopped again. A fresh copy of the software didn’t help. When I deleted the result and the data files the CLI restarted just fine. The very odd thing is that both machines were afflicted with the same thing at about 2:55 UTC. Did anyone else receive bad job packets?

Thanks for the news mate! :thumbsup:

My output will go down even further - have to give away some of my @work crunchers, those stupid guys wan’t their new pc’s - to work with… ! :wink:

@richardlellisjr

If you get a crash, you only need to delete the abnormally small (<1k) jobpacketxx.dat files. Restart and it seems fine (until it happens again).

I just checked, my client is still running but there were two bad units in my cache. Now wiped :slight_smile:

:thumbsup:
Thanks for the news, Curly!

Richard, could it be connected with LM DB batch? They mention that

There could be perf slow downs until it is done.

Here is link to that thread:

It’s been six hours since the hiccup and both my CLIs are running fine. The thing that caused the problem must have been downloaded from Lifemapper.

Seems to happen every night. I have all my farm mounted on a NFS/SAMBA share on a LINUX box and a script that runs every 5 mins looking for small Jobs. Seems to work. Quite a rash of them yesterday, times are Pacific
