Linux Server

I have set up a linux server with Mandrake linux 10.1 to post my site on because my school has blocked the port i use to log in on my hosting thingy. We have a dynamic IP address so it changes every now and then so i have to keep getting the new IP before i go to school but once i get an address this will be an impossible setup to work with having to update the IP all the time. The nasty part is its gonna cost $213.36 to get a static IP from telecom Grrrrrrr.
Does anyone know a way around this?

Any help would be great

Cheers

www.no-ip.com has a dynamic update tool that you can run on the box. you can then use something like http://comteck.homeip.com type thing.

Cool thanks iĺl look into that

I’ve used no-ip several times in the past and never had a problem.

I’m also using no-ip with the auto update thing running, works a treat, even emails me when its changed which is a bit of a laugh some nights with Bt when they change it 4 times in one night
