This is great I have a P4 with speed of 1.6ghz and now I can do a seti WU in 1.5 hours instead of 5 hours and now should be able to do 3 times as many WU.

It’s only maginaly made my Athalon 64 3000+ faster

I just looked at your last WU’s on that machine here.

What I see is that the science app runing is Tetsuji’s app (Maniacally optimized with Intel C++ compiler 9.0/IPP library 4.1 by Tetsuji Maverick Rai, rev.08.1, Wed Jun 15 17:51:14 2005), but there is a big difference in the claimed credit between the last two units. Both took about 5200 seconds, but the latter claimed 30 credit, while the previous one claimed just 15.

I think that means you probably installed the optomised core client which will make no impact on crunch times. Try going here and you should find faster science apps from Crunch3r etc…

Well I just found out why It was only a marginal increase, Steve Harthon who some of you already know is my roomie, had allread updating me with an optimized client and app, but didn’t tel me 8)

and my Athlon64 3.200+ does a WU in about 45 Minutes
