Olympics stuff

I may have been a bit “humbug” about the Olympics so far but I have been following it quite avidly on the telly (well its not like my wife managed to get any tickets to see anything in person)

Anyway, I am awestruck with the performances of the home atheletes and would gladly buy every single one of them a pint if they showed up at my local.

On another tangent I heard some backing music on the BBC and tracked it down to being a Muse single.
I was dissapointed to find it was a six minute track that didnt wake up until three minutes in, knights of cydonia.

This is why I dont own any Muse CD’s

Anyway, the Olympics, as long as we beat the French and the GERMANS I dont think thats a bad result

I have also been enjoying the coverage, especially of the cycling road races and time trials that ran in the middle of my old patch using roads that I drove along on a daily basis, they ran past the buildings of at least a dozen customers I had when I was working.
Never mind the French and Germans, I’m delighted that we are sticking it to the Aussies so often.:stuck_out_tongue:

thoroughly enjoying it here, went to the womens football at Wembley to see GB beat Brazil - just an amazing difference to the entire atmosphere of our capital city.

bah humbug

the internet and media are full of people falling over themselves to enthuse about athletes they had never heard of last week, and will have forgotten about by September.

Mr Grumpy in Scunny wants a refund
