Venus crossing the Sun on Tuesday.

great views from Sunny leicester!

not got a camera though - sorry guys :frowning:

but yeah, perfect little black disc… I’m just holding a piece of paper 6 inches from the eyepiece to project the image on to. Max magnification means I get about the bottom 1/6 of the sun in view

now everyone at work thinks I’m a bit odd :chuckle:

Here is a great pic from the Malaysian National Planetarium.

Got some pic’s early on around 7.20 uk time was cloudy around 6am
but as the sun rose it made it above the cloud line long enough for me
to take a series of shots has been cloudy ever since so I was very lucky
thought the day would be a non event when I looked outside at 6am.

Just need to do the processing to correct the colour shift pic to come later
when I get home.

Quick snap through a welders mask missed it. Groovy pics, but you can’t see the planet.

Note to self: Prior planning prevents pi$$-poor performance…

ok here it come’s…

bit of a mare working on a 14Meg Raw image file on the lappy but here’s one
image of Venus, might be better one to play with but this is the 1st image i had a
