It was £99 just after 9 as I got the tweet and sat watching it at 9am.
This is on hold until i can get a decent internet connection sorted. If it rains, the BT cables get wet and lose the ability to carry any signal apart from the phone. And the router (number 3 now) fails to deliver a signal through 2 walls and across 15 feet to my desktop, i even have to take the laptop into the same room and sit next to the router. Cant boost the power, changing channels does nothing, and the 50 foot red cat 5 cable snaking round the house is none too popular. Next step is to try something like this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/179960. Anyone got any experience? (Both ends would be connected via extension sockets so that worries me about signal loss, would i be wasting even more money?)
When I brought that product code, they were black
I was asked to help with a friends house, same experience of router in the wrong place, line in the wrong place etc etc. One pair of those, both on the end of four way extensions and problem solved, and I didn’t even need to take the drill to run proper cabling  That was 9months ago at least now, not heard a peep about the network, couple of virus removals on machines, but network still solid and wireless better now the router has moved as well.
DT.
Homeplug networks are a way around your wireless problem, but you will still have to get your phone/internet connection sorted. If it is the BT line that is faulty I would get them to replace it. Are you a BT customer?
I tried a pair of Belkin powerline ethernet adaptors also rated at 200Mb, they worked only when they felt like it between the house and the summerhouse.
You might get great results if they are both on the same ring main circuit but they didnt work for me and a bit of armoured cat-5 is now in the ground doing a fine job instead.
This looks a far more interesting price http://www.ebuyer.com/267867-emachine-er1401-desktop-pt-nbzec-004, but i cant find any info on the video playback capabilities. Nothing ever bloody simple is it?

ok ok. smartarse!
Quick google came up with this, so looks like it can play some games (in terms of GFX, not CPU) if you want it for that. Not sure on HD video, but one comment on eBuyer suggest it can.
went for the er1401 in the end, cant be arsed with crunching any more. small, quiet, cheap, and less BSODs than the monolith lol
and a pair of internet over mains converters.
