where can i get a good package of codecs as wmp 10 wont play anything :s criminal minds ff 7 advent or ncis fro avi/mpeg files :s
Do a google for FFDShow or K-lite that should do you.

I did used to use CCCP.
But now I use VLC Player. Recommend it. Saves faffing about with codecs. It’ll play most (as in 95% of the stuff I tried) without any extra codecs and the 5% I couldn’t played in Windows Media player fine.
CCCP with MPC gets my vote, has played every avi and mkv I thrown at it.
other than VLC i would say ACE MEga Codecs pack has all you need
