Just come up to a year since I last reset the counters on popfile.
Basically 87% of email that hits us is spam ! and thats not counting the
random ones that now get filtered by our domain. :sigh:

I had a warning from one of my hosting suppliers that the email had exceeded 45,000 unread messages and if I did not delete they would.
That was 45,000 spam emails in a 6month period :eek:

Only 19 thousand. That’s two months worth of mail on my Freeserve account!! :rolleyes: Scary the amount of c@rp that you can acquire in such a short space of time. Most of them are “Greetings and felicitations from your friend in Nigeria”

Before they filtered the random text @ourdomain.com we were getting lots lots more than that, prob nearing a thousand a day at its worse.

I think I’ve got about 10 at home in the last year …
2 of which were from a certain forum, informing me of reported posts (in the ogame section)

Ooh, I never reset my popfile stats. Had over 80k mails at home since 2004, of which 74% are spam. My mail provider does some filtering too.

The online gaming domains I used to manage were up around 200K per day in spam email:eek:
