Access 2003 Pivot table?

I need something like a pivot table to display data from an access database but I can’t get it to display the way I want it to. I have a table, 2 colums, items are repeated in both colums, I want to create some type of chart where I can see where the data coinsides?

Am I confusing you?

I can get a pivot chart to display the data as I want in the way I want but it’s not customiseable, as in the formatting, can someone point me in some other direction possibly

OK, now I’m confused…

I want, Imaging a table, one set of data accross the top, one down one side, where both sets of data coinside in a row in my table I want to put an X in the table.

better? no, oh well

You lost me m8

Your lost…I’m lost :chuckle:

can you visulise it in MS Paint :chuckle:

Not quite sure what your getting at but if is a look and compare i’d wang some ‘if’ statements in… if location = x then vlookup or ylookup of what ever and that can be found elsewhere then display "something other ".

I have little warning blocks in one of my spreadsheets at work if a value is not in tollerance it puts a square in (Symbol out of the ASCII charactor set you know the old teletext block draw symbols).

hmm, so two columns, some match some don’t and you want to find where they don’t match.

create the third column, a boolean and do a if x=y thing then chart against row number.

DT.

Ok I would do it this way…

Do a make table Query where COL A = COL B that way your dealing only with matched data. Then you can process from that table the needed results graphics…
