Looks like Boinc is going to start in October  (I hope)

Wow, thatā€™s what you call project slippage. If this happened at work there would have to be resignations.

Still nice to know SETI 1 is going on for a bit. Time to get more tiffies.

this is hmmmmm a little old

BOINC ASTROPULSE is in an limitet BETA test, and with the Versiuon 1.05 it is the first who is running without Problems.

something about BOINC start, from

As one of the BOINC developers, Iā€™m unfortunately unable to tell you exactly when BOINC will go live ā€œfor realā€ (not due to any sort of restrictions on what I can say- I just donā€™t know).

I can, however, say that the existence of these forums is no indication of how long it will be: the forum system is a part of the web aspect of BOINC, along with the recently added profile system, not a feature used solely for gathering debugging comments (though itā€™s useful for that too of course). Just thought I should clarify that =).

Iā€™ll be sure to post something here if and when I find out more about final release dates.

Thanks everyone! It is true, Iā€™ve decided to leave SETI@home/BOINC, though itā€™s been a great experience. Iā€™ve always wanted to live in Japan and an opportunity presented itself, so in 2 weeks I am heading off to teach English there. Karl Chen is taking charge of some of my BOINC related duties, but heā€™s only working until the school year starts. Weā€™re hiring a full-time replacement for my position shortly. Iā€™ll send you all a postcard when I arrive!

we have to wait for the ā€œfull-time replacementā€, but then he must first work in for such a great Programm.
