So here’s the question…how do I get it to work with no internet connection? Shall I just tick the os in settings asking to connect to the web because thats not what I want to do. Losing my web connection should’nt stop it running right??

Constant communication with the projects is not important if your cache size is set big enough such that you can survive a day or two without network access. Manually update the projects when you kow there’s a connection.

This line SETI@home - 2004-10-02 07:11:08 - Result 01mr04ab.2990.16866.667316.116_2 exited with zero status but no ‘finished’ file may mean that there’s something else wrong with yor set up though. Is your overclock a bit heavy perhaps.

I’m not overclocked.
And my set up was posted elsewhere…I can find it if you need it.

But when I have no access, it wont run. I have a big enough cache size. 5 days I believe. Might make it 7.

Just as an experiment, see what happens when you disable network access in the BOINC window

And then try tp update or something?
EDIT:
I get — - 2004-10-02 08:58:09 - Suspending network activity - user request

then it carries on as normal.

What I’ll probably do is tick that every evening and then reclick in the morning…I usually lose the connection at night.

Sometimes I lose it, sometimes I dont…I think it has to do with people removing the wireless network power cable…

 Parents & power sockets.

Don’t necessarily think this is the root cause of your problem but it will at least eliminate it from your search.
