Joined… but cant start computing as my mobile broadband compresses images and it causes a checksum error.
Close is better then further away… Interesting issue, is their an easy solution?

Not that I can see. It looks like the modem automatically compresses image files and I cant see an option to stop it from doing so.
maybe if you mailed someone your login details… they setup a boinc install with your details and the bits downloaded…then rar it up and ship it back to you ? would that work ?
I have no idea what this option really does…
But in Boinc there is a option to skip image file verification.

I tried that and it trashed another 3 work units so I’ll have to wait until I get a proper landline.
