Conditional formatting

Guys, need a little bit of help.

Got a conditional format that I need to copy down colums…

Part of the 3 part cond format references a cell on each row.

If I try to copy the cond format down the colums, the reference to the cell on that row is not updated

Ie

=SUM(7-$H$2)*4

H2 holds the number of questions answered as NA, so they do not contribute to the score.

If I copy this cond format down 20 rows, they all ref H2, rather than incrementing for each row, ie H3, H4…

Any way I can get around this.

Me being thick,

Had set the reference to an abolute reference rather than a variable reference

ie $H$2 rather than H2
