An awesome admin tool for remotely managing any linux install, specifically for beginners. It helped me get sendmail up and running for our bulkmailers.

Hey Spaceboy, did you know about this one before now?
I downloaded it this morning and installed Fedora. Had sendmail up and running within 45 minutes.
Truly a great tool.
I’ve used webmin for a while now, is the only way I can do certain things under Linux (relative n00b here :))
yeah known about it for about a year… use it occasionally for things I can’t work out the manual way
also good for some of the more complicated “tweaks” for things like samba.
runs well on solaris too
webmin is cool. i’m just getting to the point where i can do everything at the console which i would usually do with webmin, and have disabled webmin on most servers. but it is useful
webmin was the only thing I used to set up my machine. I think it as MAOJC that pointed my at it from IRC a while back.
DT.
Yeah it is nice enough but it’s really good to know the nuts and bolts.
Would this make setting up a network on Linux easier?
