Are you staying ‘online’ all through the mission ?
and IIRC after the stage where the fleet ‘did’ the expedition (before setting off home) I checked the main page and the ? was lit up < (something to look for next time), so clicked it and I had the tutorial done 
my oGame support ticket was answered, and it was a direct link to a page full of ‘workarounds’ :sigh:

well i am still waiting for you to stomp me, i am on the computer in the hotel at the moment just for a quick fleet save and check up. more stuff on the build, i will get my cyclers when i get back, almost ready for lvl 20 metal mine hehehe e:) although it would appear you muppet are closer to the big ships, i still need another lvl or 2 of ion and combo before i can start cruiser. but then you will all get a bruising
