ps cant get to mojo this time but will try for later in year
Place the PCI Card into the system. In your BIOS boot to AGP Video.
Windows XP should say found a new card…addit…
Next Right Click Desktop. (Display Props)
Click Settings…
You should see two Monitors (maybe Three (not a issue))
Click in Identify
Next drag the monitors around in window how they are layed out.
Chnage Resolution on PCI card Monitor…
Reboot and all should be well…remember that your bios needs to support AGP or PCI VGA Select boot…!
Also note select monitor 2 and click Extended my windows desktop onto this monitor (Near Bottom left side)
yes, it is possible, im running it right now… and if my dad didn’t give away the spare pci gfx card i lent him, i would have 3 19" monitors running on this…

this will only come up when second card is installed
after that, u can move the screen around the primary one so it makes more sence if the secondary screen is Physically on the left side or above or below the primary monitor.
a great utility for running multiple monitors is Ultramon, I posted about it in a thread in Binlala’s thread. Free trial version, but SO much more functional than how windows handles multiple screens by default.
@ Bin
usually, the onboard disables automatically when a discrete graphics card is added. Which onboard graphics do you have, as some of them will run dual monitors that way.
From the ATI website:
DISPLAY FEATURES
-Dual integrated display controllers to drive two displays simultaneously with independent resolutions and refresh rates
-Hydravision™ software provides complete control over multi-display configurations with a user-friendly interface
make sure you have the latest drivers with the ATI control panel (Hydravision).
You should just have to plug in both monitors, and the 9200 should detect both.
@ Bigsheff
assuming you have the Ti4200
there should be 2 VGA outputs on the card, or 1 VGA and 1 DVI
nvidia’s nview will allow you to set up multiple monitors
nView Display Technology
The nView hardware and software technology combination delivers maximum flexibility for multi-display options, and provides unprecedented end-user control of the desktop experience. nView allows end-users to select any combination of multiple displays, including digital flat panels, analog CRTs, and TVs, and to modify the display properties using an intuitive software interface.
The new and improved nView multi-display wizard is the industry’s easiest and most effective way to get you up and running with multiple monitors.
after some more digging, I found that not all Ti4200s have 2 outputs, just 1 with an S-video (like you posted, Im a n00b)
you may have to buy a S-Video to VGA adapter.
Won’t work…you need one PCI and one AGP. The onboard SIS Video will turn off when you place AGP in. The PCI may work but you be so limited on speed from the onboard that well not a good idea. Get a PCI video card and all should be fine. You can mix them also…I have a ATI AIW 7500 and a PCI 64Meg Pony NV Chipset in …works great! On two 17" LCD’s…love the extra work space for programmng!
from a quick, google, it looks like s-video to vga adapters are mostly boxes you plug into, and not that cheap…at least $50 USD up to over $175 USD. Im sure a PCI card will be cheaper.
And sorry Bin, every 9200 card Ive used in customer builds had 3 outputs, but I guess I paid extra for those. Didnt realize yours didnt. Just buy a PCI card to supplement your AGP…like Step said.
