Got everything installed, all drivers loaded and BOINC installed and running. Even loaded some tunes and got them playing OK :D. Love the interface and I am slowly getting to know where things are. Games are good too.
You can move on to GPU crunching under Linux now - GPUGRID is easy - try Folding or SETI for little challenge .
One benefit of the Ubuntu install that I didn’t notice straight away is that as the GRUB loader was installed at the same time, I can now triple boot between Ubuntu, Fedora nd WinXP as I see fit. Good fun if I want to play with different systems without changing machines.
I thought I’d removed XP by installing Fedora, but it appears it saved it on a separate partition without me realising. Serendipity at work
