I just contributed 449 points a few hours ago, but had to disable folding on my desktop PC due to heat problems. I’ll have that back up in a day or so I hope…

neo, you know if your using the console version you can set it to not use all the CPU hence it can not heat the PC up as much?

Eh, I was thinking of doing that, but I didn’t want too. The heat problem is going to persist either way, due to the fact my room gets about 10 degrees hotter then what it really is, so I’m basically damned if I do, damned if I don’t.

Make sure your heatsink is clean and all the fans are getting full rpms. If you turn down the cpu usage with fah too much you may begin to miss deadlines. keeping it in the shade can help too. You can also throttle the cpu usage with the GUI client as well.

Hehe, I need to clean out the case very badly, as well as look into a new heatsink. I did turn fah back on, using 35% CPU, staying around 51C.
