Well the GSXR 750 been collecting dust too long.
Yet not all lost, Mandy missed being on the “B” seat
So it’s time for her to ride… and the new addition to the family is a 883 Sportster. Goodbye crotch rocket and hello “B” seat from me. :furious:
Not sure to cry or be happy.
A couple who are friends of mine at work have an 883. They love it. I think you’ll have fun with yours. They are low so climbing onto the back will be easy for you
What can I say? Just lie back, enjoy the ride and let the wind blow through your hair.
And hey, if the B-Seat is hard work, just trade it for a Ural and go off-road
Uh oh! a biker babe! :D:D:D:D
Watch out for Bilko!

Been a biker for years, mainly sport and dirt bikes. I have always had a need for speed. Now I just get to sit and ride. (Right! I’ll sneak it out:D)
Yet going from a crotch rocket to a hog… well kind of like going from a high performance PC to one of those MAC things.
(this is called a double hook MAOJC bait, think he’ll bite guys
)
I know I am such a trouble maker:D
Just kidding hon.
Still going to be a week… even though stock it sits at 25", still just a tad high for Mandy. So a little custom work being done to lower another 3".

You are so bad, not hooking this fish! :smackbum::smackbum::smackbum::smackbum::smackbum::smackbum:
OUCH!
Guess I deserved the beating
Nice Bike!

Yep 1983 FXDG 80 inch shovel head. One of 750, 80th anniversary edition known as a Willie G Davidson Disk Glide. It was the last of the shovel heads, has dual belt drive, primary and final, and a solid disk aluminum rear wheel, dual rotor front brakes. It has been modified just a bit, with 10.5 to one Aries pistons, and Andrews ‘B’ grind cam, a 2002 Fat Boy CV carb, Mustang seats.
Purchased new from dealer.
If your on the road, you better keep an eye out for this one! :D:D:D
BTW…
A week after Mandy got the bike it got trashed. Yes she is ok, it was just too much for her being so small.
Insurance company was not too thrilled:)
No that is not the end of riding for her, on the contrary I had her get a smaller bike to learn on… and now she is catching on very well, but then she has a new riding partner. Yep I decided what the hell! I don’t care if they don’t like! I am still going to ride and got me a new bike too. I only can ride every now and then when I am having a good day… but two wheels I have always meant to be on, and I am going to choose my own risks.
I am tired of just laying around when I know I can get about now and then.
So it was written and so it shall be!
Oh btw, shh… they still wont give me my license back, even though the meds keep me from passing out most the time.
so you’re riding without a license with the possibility of passing out ? this doesn’t sit well with me at all.
OH you stick in the mud!
I am wearing my O2, tank is on left side, I do all my treatments and take all my meds and if I feel safe and if Mandy says ok. I enjoy the moment.
or I could do as the doctors suggest and just rot away in bed… not having it:D
Gotta give you 11/10 for sheer stubborness.
Minus several hundred out of 10 for common sense though

Taking the tank with you ?
I refer to the above once more
Well I was at least hoping MAOJC would understand and come to my defense…
Now keep in mind I am not a total risk taker. Had it for three weeks and have only been on four times and the longest being twenty minutes. I stay close to home. I know when I am going to be ok for a short ride… It is just sitting for the most part.
Yet that 10 - 20 minutes makes me feel alive again.
Cowboys have their horses and boots… I have my V twin and Brigestones.

Now now, you need to be the most defensive as can be on anything with 2 wheels.
Please consider the issues, I understand the freedom aspect all to well. Please make sure it is a good day, and take the consequences of no DL with a grain of salt, you rode it and you will have to deal with it if it happens.
Remember the law is the law, hard to win that battle.
I know, yet no wrecks or tickets in 30+ years are good odds.
Besides I have to deal with whatever life deals out everyday anyhow, so no whining from me if I do get caught.

Oh yes
have you considered medical bills, not only for yourself but for others should the worst happen ? I assume no DL means no insurance, or at least invalidated insurance.
Medical bills… Think I owe right now about 100K so what is a bit more.
and yes it is in Mandy’s name and fully insured.
