Anyone had any cause to use these at all? I’m submitting my sister’s boyfriend’s clay sculpture site to Google and it mentions these as a good way of getting the Googlebots to index your web pages.
It talks about creating a top-level directory xml file which lists the locations of the web pages included in your site, looks similar to html and I assume the logic is similar.
I have an index.html page with links to separate pages and on the pages there are links that open pop-up windows with enlarged photos. Are there any things I should be aware of when creating the Sitemap XML file please?
It’s saved me about two hours of text file faffing :D.
