A nice little MIDI program, my band uses it extensively. After recently getting my hands on a 2GB jumpdrive, I put the entire program on it and took it to school to get some band business done after I finished my school work. But alas, I found a font file is needed, and I’m definately not a school admin, so putting the appropriate font file in the appropriate spot becomes a problem. Is there anyway to make the program look somewhere else for it, i.e. a diff folder on the jumpdrive? So i can just carry to program with me whenever I need. Am I out of luck or is there a way to do this? I figured I’d run it by the friendly neighborhood smart guys…but they were busy so the said post it here.

P.S. I accidentally put it in the wrong spot if someone could move it to Windows section. Thanks.
I used to have it installed, played around with it for a short time before dumping it (don’t have a midi device anyway )
Can’t recall any issues with a font file, but I wasn’t using it to the same degree as you probably are
Not that I’ve done it for a while, but I generaly wire the guitar up to the comp, then play stuff and record it using Goldwave
I’m nowhere near being a good guitarist, so it’s enough for my personal larking about :tiphat:
When installing, it places a True Type font into the font folder. But i wanna use it on computers at school from a jumpdrive, and work on midi/tabs of my bands songs when i have nothing better to do. And yes wolly, and record the same way. Standard Instrument cable 1/4th in to a 1/8 adapter into mic input and record with cool edit pro. But this is something so i can have all the backups and different riff tanks of our songs done. I just need a way to tell GP5 “hey tardcart the font file is over here now” and make it work. Seriously wolly. install it again and delete the true type file. Its way too hard to function like that.
Might give it another look at then, could be weekend before I get time though
Its fine. I’ll be in school till sometime May, no rush…lol
