Having to consider selling the teg

Well the last week has been hell, and the effects are brining creeping doubts of having to sell the car.

The slashed tyres, the stuck security nuts, looking at needing a new alloy. Swapped a exhasut and the lads sending mine back, even though I showed trust and good faith.

The bill might only be a fraction of the cars worth, but with business debts of a couple thousand all my money’s tied up, and earning barly enough to affoard anything going wrong with the car.

The future looks like maybe selling the teg, paying off the debts and buying a 200sx or MR2 and having slight mods on it to look a little better.

All in all, it being my birthday week I feel like Ive had enough.

I think those doubts will evaporate the moment you take it for another spin.

Hows it going with the wheels ?

Well the alloy still isnt off and it will be a right off as the amount of damage it has taken thus far, lucky a lad on Honda forums has done me a massive favour getting another one for me.
The hub bolt of course is no more, and the car will need to go to Honda to get it done.

Now then it gets better.

Bought a jack from machine mart or were ever, I think there the same as halfrauds sell.
Worked fine untill today and the car up but the danm thing wont come down . To get it down before you have to turn a little knob anti-clockwise. Nothing happends and when fully turned the oil started coming out! Now Ive got the car stuck up on it, at full lift.

Any ideas on how to get it lowerd again?

The hub bolt is a 15 minute job, doesn’t need to go to Honda for that. All you need is the part and a local mechanic.

Have a quick scan of your local paper for “handy Andys mobile auto repair”, ignore any that give just mobile numbers and ask for quotes.

He will also sort out your broken trolley jack problem which needs to go back to machine mart or into a skip. Either way dont trust it anymore.

Changing the hub bolt is a nothing job, you could do it yourself, the trolley jack could be got out by jacking the car up with a bigger jack but as TF says bin the old jack right away, they cost nothing and you need to have confidence in heavy lifting equipment.

I could always bring my truck around and use it’s Hiab to lift the car around
