If Money was no object what....

it Would be black with a tint of red with redish rims…black tint on windows…plenty of ice…new suspension lowerd to my decision  :stuck_out_tongue: engine mods:P

meh :P:eek:  :rotate:

I’m with you on that one, maybe the the 2005 Mustang GTR and the Chevy SS as well just to fill the garage properly.

Kleenex all round please:devil:

Juggy wins :stuck_out_tongue:

But I’m a bit of an individual and the Elise is just too common.

His mustang does look nice (well both) but the Charger clearly wins…I mean it’s a piece of history. the General Lee, the black car that chases steve McQueen in bullit to name a few

Hmmmm. If money is no object, why not pick something with a dash of fun?

Enzo all the way!

Or possibly a 288 GTO

Thats cool.

But I wouldn’t buy another, and mine has no roof so I can’t do that!

Exige.

Mmmm, Exige is nice, i test drove one from a place in Leeds, took it to the straight near Drighlington (that leads to/from CCL computers) and floored it off the roundabout, didn’t quite get into 6th gear, but red lined in 5th with an indicated 150mph on the clock! It’s a fantastic car to drive, feels really strange when accelerating as you expect to change gear when the engine is revving it’s nuts off at ~6000rpm (my hand kept inching towards the gear change and the test drive guy kept shouting at me to keep it floored for a bit longer) then the cam changes and you get to go all the way to 8600rpm!

My own choice would be a DB9, having driven a DB7gt on a number of occasions and a DB9 once (which have the same engine!), it is a fantastic car. Really pulls away when accelerating (back end squirming all over the road without the traction control on) and i’ve had it at an indicated 184  (on the autobahn mi’lud!) at 3am in the morning. Nice.

Obviously if money was no object I wouldn’t be limiting myself to one car but one that I’d definately have (and wouldn’t be selling again) would be an F40.

Apart from that I’d keep the MR2 (but spend piles of cash on it), I’d build a VTEC’d mini just to keep myself amused and i’d probably end up buying and selling all sorts of things on a regular basis to make sure I don’t get bored.

Hey you could build a vtech Mini Van in Dyno Rod orange and keep us both happy

Mmmmmmmmm me love…

(Dodge Viper - Dont care which one)

there’s one here
one of those please
Bully

Oh I forgot - I want a Mosler too. A Purple one

No, I’ve told you if I do a van I’m putting a mid mounted V8 in it :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice car, can remember when a guy i worked for over the summer holidays helping do the gardens when i was a teenager bought one. Wasn’t quite the fastest thing in his garage, that was the Le Mans racer he owned that we had to start by towing it behind a jeep! He also had a nice line in Koi carp and a rather disturbing interest in trains…can you guess who it is yet…his wife sang in the band that sung ‘in the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight’ … …need another clue?.. … he presented ‘The hitman and her’ on ITV late on fri/sat nights… still need more?.. he was one of a trio of managers/producers whose initials were SAW.

Boring I know but rather than one insanely expensive, I’d prefer to spend it on 3 or 4 vehicles covering the range of stuff that I need to do from 2 seater through saloon, 4x4 and pickup.

BUMP!! I don’t care what people say, I love my Volvo and if money was no object…I’d buy another one, or two, or three maybe, depending opn what I need a car for “that day”.

I scrolled through this thread, thinking “I wonder if I have changed my mind since 2006” but couldnt find my posting.
Then it dawned on me, at the time this thread was posted my ideal choice of car would have been a V8 Chevy van that could move forwards or even backwards on command without needing pushing.

So to bring it up to date the TFW ultimate garage would contain at least the following

Range Rover, with an overfinch conversion
Unimog, Brabus tuned
Bugatti EB110 in RHD (I think there is only one)
Z-Cars Mini with a Hayabusa in the back seats
Vauxhall VXR8
Vauxhall Insignia 2.8i V6 Turbo VXR 4wd Estate, need something practical to get the family into, although I might need more seats

Although I would also populate it with very tidy old classics that most people would never think of in a dream garage, A Marina 1800 GT, A Dolomite Sprint, Escort 1600GT, Capri (Brooklands 280), A Talbot Rancho, A Triumph acclaim.

Though some of these would be preserved as a warning to the car industry of the future, dont make anything like a Talbot Rancho ever again.
But it would be funny to drive to places and see people looking quizzically at it.

Come to think of it, the Bugatti Veyron would be a laugh to play around with at weekends. Imagine using it on track days!!
