I had a bit of a problem remembering TPR’s team number because it’s the same as my phone number’s area code and I thought, “Nah. That’s my area code!”. When I finally looked it up in F@H it turns out it’s my area code AND TPR’s team number.
Ugh. TPR is down to rank 818. I have some work to do I guess.

This Folding client is a bit odd. Seems to only do a new WU if I reboot my machine.
Any tricks I need to know about?
Running on a 7800X3D, onboard GPU for now.
Are you using the beta client? That’s the one I’m using.

15 CPUs, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU
To expand on my previous, nothing special was needed. Once I tell the client to use both the GPU and most of the CPU cores (it leaves one for normal use automatically), it just starts doing WUs.
I’m using 8.4.9 as well, set it to 16/16 threads and woke up this morning to find it sitting idle.
I paused all then resumed and now it’s downloaded a WU again. Frustrating
I’m going to load it on my kids machines, they have 3070’s. Maybe it iwll work differently
Let’s see how this goes and if the kids notice they cannot play Fortnite at 200+ FPS 
I just used the default installation and by default the installer left one CPU core unassigned. I have 15 of 16 cores assigned to work WUs. I wonder if the unassigned core is the one handling automatic uploads and downloads of WUs?

That may very well be it, I went back to 15/16 and it seems better now.

If you’ve been watching the stats on extremeoverclocking.net, you may have noticed I was down for a couple days. My laptop has developed a “condition” where the laptop keyboard, touchpad, and power button are dead. If I want to power on, I found I have to unplug the battery from the motherboard then re-seat the cable and put the back back on. USB keyboard and mouse returns control after the laptop boots up and tells me the time isn’t set.
I have a new laptop on order (improved over the current one, of course) so I’ll hopefully get some improved crunching. The drawback? Dell says the laptop won’t be delivered until the end of March.

That must be disappointing for you, not only the loss of Folding but the need to buy a new machine.
I just purchased a 3080 TI to add more WU’s to our team effort. Should push my daily to over 10 million pts.

I’ve switched over to the new laptop. PPD should show about a 50% increase over the old laptop. I’m sending the old laptop out for repair and when it comes back I’ll add it back into the fold.
