Just took me 45mins on hold to cancel a BTopenworld account… funny thing is i want to cancel it because we’ve never been able to move it properly over to ourself, ie we brought this building and the buisness in it with all phone numbers etc but btopenworld just can’t get there head around the fact that i now have this account… understandable i guess (apart from the fact that our name is on all the bills etc)
Twist is, to cancel they wanted to know the answer to the securaty question… mothers maiden name, of the guy that used to own this place 
Fortunatly we still talk to him and i know the answer now but i ask you, if i hadn’t have know… would i ever have been able to cancel it :rolleyes:
You beat my 47 mins of the other day when I called BT to obtain a MAC for a client of mine.
thanks for all the responses it’s been very helpful, it’s proved that there really isn’t one that stands out above the rest. Zen do a good job at it, but you do pay for the privilege.
Cable is out as we are in West Sussex and they don’t know we exist down here :rolleyes:
I think Peige’s comment is the probably the best advise - don’t recommend anyone then just slag off the company of choice later on when the problems arise.
