tried to login no plugin trtied to install and firefox locks up.
firefox updated to 2.0.0.2
tried manually downloading no look installing
same from website if any one got a copy that works PM with it if poss

now spookly enough I was messing with this yeaterday, afaik it should still work, as in it should download the java classes to your machine and then run etc, BUT I think you may have to put plevin.net into a trusted zone to get it to download the package, as it’s not signed. I’m going to tinker some more and will report back. if you don’t mind a bit of lag then try www.plevin.net/irc.html it’s cgi based but lags by anything up to 3 mins, not great if you want to have a conversation.

Have confirmed with Preecey that the java client still works, so I’m affraid to say all good my end. have a check of your security settings, what OS / Browser are you running? IE7 on Vista with the beta java 6 se won’t connect to the irc server but it downloads and runs the applet fine.

no, your right, it’s vanished into the ether, if I get enough interest I’ll try resurect it but I suspect it’s been missing a while and your the first to mention anything.
Well…it’s because java irc is all I can use from work 
If it’s a question of webspace/bandwidth then Barry can host it no probs, obviously he’d need the licence etc though.
