Just had our Internet banking suspended

The powers that be in our bank have just found out that I have used my wifes password and login for internet banking and not my own  and they have suspended her account. Even though she was stood by me at the time.

We have a joint account and she has a deposit account. If I log on using my details I can only see our joint account, I don’t want a joint deposit account cause we’ll end up paying more tax on the interest, not much but thats not the point.

I thought they were joking when they said. Because I don’t have power of attourney over her deposit account I am committing a criminal offence by accessing her account.

Guess what’s the first thing we’ll do when she gets her new password

Don’t talk to me about ghey banks & the internet…

ShatWest goofed up asking me a wrong question on the 'phone once…ended up losing access to my account for about 2 weeks whilst they sent me a form to fill in, to send back, for them to reactivate it.

Complete choppers.

How did they find out who was online

They are a real pain we used to able to view our Credit Card bill online as it is our Bank’s Credit Card as well as our ordinary Bank Accounts but since last October I cannot view it as I am not the main card holder even though we wrote to them to ask them to give me the same access as the Balrog. But they said it was not allowed to give me access to the balance. They are a real pain. So the Balrog registered and I use it myself. Don’t think the Balrog has ever used online banking:D

I set up a BACS payment at 8.30pm on the 17th March. The earliest date available for it to go through was the 18th of March (The next working day) When Mrs Deaky came home from work at 10pm we decided that the money I had paid to our interest free credit card would best be used somewhere else so I went back on line to cancel the scheduled payment. Only to find it had already gone through

So I phoned the bank and kicked up a right stink. The branch manager phoned me yesterday and I relayed the whole story to her then she said that on the 17th there was no record of me accessing internet banking  only Mrs Deaky and because I’d admitted using my wifes account, even though she was present at the time, I had violated the T&C’s and the account is now suspended  Pathetic :realmad:

Do bankers there go to France for customer service school?

Pure b*llocks that mess. Our bank is pretty similar, gives me a headache.

Bad luck Deaky - The whole security system these days of bank’s and credit card companies is crazy. It seems to go against ordinary every day people.:frowning:

Lloyds bank is a pile of carp

I wouldn’t use there internet banking tbh

There phone banking is bad enough, many a times i’ve called and got through to some scottish speaking bird who’s asked me some stupidly obscure question i could’nt anwser so they’ve put the phone down on me.

/me wished when i rang my bank i actually got through to it rather than being redirected to some call centre. :frowning:

Nat West just suspended theit internet service. Doubtless some mindless scripter or email thingy.

Personally never had a problem with the lloyds internet banking myself :flip:

I use lloyds, Barclays and Hsbc’s systems

Also do the same as you, my hsbc setup is joint and we also have an account for my son, but its in my wifes name so i always use my wifes log in details to go into hsbc so i can manage all the accounts, i also log into her lloyds account too because she she can’t be bothered to do it, she just asks me to log in and tell her whats going on :flip:

I didn’t know that its a crime though :stuck_out_tongue: guess i ought to keep quite

/me looks around to see who is watching…

If i had to rate the systems i’d say that Barclays it the best

What is the collective for a number of bankers - a wunch !

Wunch of bankers, the lot of them.
