The curtain comes down on the Lowfield on Saturday 19th May. The building will be demolished in the early part of the week following.
Kitchen closes a week earlier - last service Friday 11th May.
End of an era - can’t decide whether I’m or so will have to settle for :rotate:
Also can’t decide whether I’ll be coming back - I think I probably will but the last few weeks have been sheer hell and I think this is just a symptom of needing a real break… dunno kinda dazed & confused ATM
Understandable after everything you’ve gone through this year that you’re in 2 minds but (and I know you won’t really) don’t make any hasty decisions. Take your more than well earned break before the building work starts and see how it goes from there
I think being both happy and sad is possible. As you say, it’s the end of an era but also the beginning of a new one. I’m both & and I’ve only been for visits, so can imagine how it must feel when it’s basically your life!
Remember, if you’re over this way or you just fancy it, do come visit
Perhaps you should take that break away and don’t think about it. A change of scene might help you get clarity of thought. Do something you haven’t done in a while, visit a friend you haven’t seen, but been meaning to look up.
Nothing lasts forever, but as one door closes another opens, as they say. You know where we all are if you feel the need to hop into Elmo and turn up on a doorstep for a few beers…lots of beers…curry…somewhere to crash…etc
Make a tour, give us all the chance to return your fabulous hospitality over the years.
Remember, if you’re over this way or you just fancy it, do come visit ;)[/QUOTE]
F’nar you’re a quick worker
Yes you are all correct what is required is a complete levitation of the sphericals into the atmosphere and see which way they fall down. Doubtless things will look different once I have caned my old Landy through Western Europe

Just remember, if you come across any tour dates for Linkin Park in UK soon, that we have a long standing date
Ah the Stowford, forgot about that, sad to see the building go, but times change…etc, talking of Linkin Park I bet that damn cd is on the new jukebox as well :rotate: good luck with whatever you decide Martin.
the pub we played against tonight had Strowford on the tap …
12 other decent ales - I disagree, 10 of them were nice :wasted:
Whatever you decide Martin, it’ll be your decision and you can be assured it will be a reasoned one if I learnt anything about the way you r mind works earlier this year
As said already, perfectly understandable why you might be in 2 minds and both happy & sad. Still, after your holiday, things will almost certainly be in a different perspective.
