Was ready to dump another load today, prepped farm at work for last batch for dumping on the 29th.

Its a sad day if they have just switched it off and not told anyone.

They had given a brief notice but that was at the end of the year, not before Xmas.

It really ticks me off when things like this happen, no or poor communication is the root cause of a lot of business and personal cock ups. Considering it was a university, they could have had the decency to put up a notice a day before.

Allen steps off his soapbox, gets mug of tea and thinks about what project to do next.

I can’t see that they’d just turn it all off without even a cursory ‘project finished’ message on the front page. I suspect tech problems (we’ve had site-wide outages before) or possibly a disgruntled DDOS attack.

Still crunching LM until the end of the year to give em a chance to fix it, but what a cache dump that will be!!!
