This one fix will make a big difference to me, LM!
I have had the client quit for no reason a couple of times. This was a problem that was fixed with the last version. The cause this time must be different. Other than that, this is the best version yet.

Had another bug, don’t know what caused it, have posted the details on the LM support board.
Basically the client just disappeared without a trace
Went again, posted details again. Although this time I did get a standard Windows error box.
Just in case we can see a common theme:
AMD XP2400+ stock
Abit KX333-R Mobo (VIA 8367/8233A chipset)
2 x 256Mb Corsair PC2700 @ SPD timings
NVidia graphics (FX5600 Ultra V45.23 driver set)
Dual monitor support enabled and in use, Lifemapper on primary display.
Windows 2k Professional SP3
Running the client on four other machines all flawless which to me would remove Win2k,AMD processors, Corsair memory and NVidia graphics from the equation, as these are common themes.
Now I’m no genius when it comes to Linux and Wine but after reading MAOJC post about kernel 2.4.20 and Wine , because I was having similar problems so I thought I would try RH 9 again with Wine and I found a version of Wine that runs sweet with RH 9 so my seti and lifmapper run fast. Before seti would run but lifemapper would not.
The version of Wine is
wine-20031118-1rh9winehq.i686.rpm
Like i said Im no genius but I had a win and wanted to share with you all as it might be useful to you
Got up to something odd. 2 Lifemapper clients on one machine, one connecting to server fine, the other has been sitting on unable to connect for hours . Restart the client and it’s connected fine…
Originally posted by Gandelf I’ve only upgraded one machine (P4 with HT x 2 cli’s) and one instance of the client dissapeared on me yesterday.
I saw this behaviour two times.
One time the cache was empty and the cli idle for some time beside trying to get a new jobpacket; the other time the cli tried to get a new jobpacket while the LM server rebooted.
