PIRATED software users be warned. Microsoft Corp is going to start “nagging” Windows users who do not have a legitimate copy of its operating system (OS).
Starting tomorrow, the software giant will permanently flag personal computers that are not running a genuine copy of Windows.
Highly dubious if you ask me in the way it installs - with Auto Updates on, it just installs itself, if you use manual updates you are presented with an EULA which bombs its install if you disagree…
I manually installed updates two days ago, and I unselected the “check for pirated copy” software install (yes, I paid for my license), and there was no EULA presented.
Been on their windows update site for 1-2 weeks now. It’s EXTREMELY easy to remove, with a few keystrokes and a reboot it’s all gone… permenant my arse ;).

You only get the EULA if it’s ticked to install
My point here is that surely if you are required to read and agree to an EULA to install this piece of ‘spyware’ from a manual update, surely you should be presented with the same EULA on an auto update? Or does the EULA for auto updates read something along the lines of “I am a cretin and bequeath my mortal soul to the almighty Bill”?
