Mission Impossible 4 - Windoze 7

If you’re still interested, be advised that M$ have relented and have now opened up the dowload allowance to ‘unlimited’. Great news you might think but wait, it gets better. Two hours + download times, and you’re ready to rock & roll, but there’s something missing… :Plot: it’s called 'the licence key - it’s nowhere to be found. :whiteflag:

I’ve always believed that everyone needs a challenge in life, it stops you getting sloppy. So, if in your opinion working with Windoze isn’t much of one then finding W7’s licence key should spice up your life no end.

Your mission, should you accept, is to track down that darned elusive thingymabob.

The download key is given to you as part of the windows login procedure even before you get access to the download.

Mine downloaded in about 90mins (600+k per sec), all installed and running nicely

my copies (32 and 64bit) have always come down at my max connection speed, in alpha and beta stage when it was opened up.

Works absolutely fine for me.

DT.

Got it on Saturday. 32-bit never downloaded in full for me, but 64 bit went through first time. Installed it. Looks like Vista. Played about a bit. If anyone knows how to get any free VNC running with a mirror driver I might keep it for playing around, otherwise I’m going to swap my win2k HD back on the test box tonight. Tried ultravnc and tightvnc without success.

:trophy: Thanks guy’s, key eventually found. Was using some news outlet links to download which caused the confusion. Had to set up an M$ Live account which upto now I have avoided. :tiphat:

I think it’s an awesome OS. In it’s current form I can use it on my primary machine. Things feel quicker and even more stable compared to Vista

thats because like XP with ME windows 7 was in works before Vista was and Like Me Vista had a lot of windows 7 installed into it then rushed out the door …
