Mojo's dirty weekend in abingdon

Lots of piccies of 4x4 & mud at abingdonphotos.com, these two stood out for me

Saturday mud run abingdon781
Saturday mid course abingdon737 (clean!)

Then I found

Saturday mid course abingdon920

Saturday mid course abingdon735 shows TFW in his Jap Fwah-by, this is the only time it was (a) clean and (b) not belching steam. Still has a number plate too  Drove Elmo down there, round the course twice, and home, no dramas, no damage. Land Rover - it does what it says on the bonnetā€¦

Looks like a very dirty weekend indeed

it was muddy, and the road on the front of my house still isnā€™t mud-free after I cleaned mine

Saturday, middle of course 501 is the only time I was caught on camera, and even on that one I was on the way to a marshal point. It was a great weekend, with great company, again later this month at Sibbertoft ?

DT.

:frowning: Funds and work would mean thats a no, Iā€™ll take a rain check if I may?

/me passes Mojo an umbrella

Sure, no problem. I think Iā€™m going to be taking a car load there, parents and Bullseye and all seven seats in use.

It did earn the right to steam a little after trying the mud run.
Parked up steaming between some suspiciously clean green Ovals

However, whilst cahnging the temperemental gearbox I noticed the sills, or rather their absence in most places

But its all weldable and on the plus side it didnt get stuck on the very first feature on the course :Poke:

I think Iā€™m going to be at this one tomorrow, but not 100%. It would be nice if I could get to the bottom of why I donā€™t have diff lock.

DT.

Diff Lock ?

The ā€œLike you stole itā€ approach works for everything but mud runs without needing difflock.

Spending tomorrow under mine getting **** in my eyes fitting a gearbox.
It needs an MOT at the end of the month and I need to learn welding without setting it on fire for it to pass that.

very true, but mineā€™s a landy and drive it like you stole it means things fall off or snap - like suspensions for example

Iā€™m not off-roading today, but if you need another pair of hands for the gearbox, give me a bell on the mobile. With any luck itā€™ll get me out of having to sort out the squeek on the Seat Ibiza :frowning:

DT.

The Snow has melted and the rain has stopped so I might have a go.
Feel free to pop over if you like.

And just for giggles, why not have hailstones propelled by gusts of wind.

they must be on the way down here or missed us completely, although upon leaving the house earlier we now have a roof tile that is in the gutter :frowning:

the phrase it never rains but it pours was never quite so well used

DT.

A pity none of the photos survived, I was talking about this course today.
It is still activeā€¦ More news to follow as appropriate

Have we got a secret squirrel smiley anywhere ?
