It seems this one is doing the rounds again, three clients so far have asked me how this scam works.
Same twist on an old scam, they will contact you saying that people have registered to apply for your domainame.hk or other domains. Then once you contact them, expect a hard sell and extortionate prices for domains to be registered for you in a country it’s highly unlikely you’ll ever do business in.
The scammers just keep trying to recycle old scams and make them scare campaigns.
