Thanks drezha
here the new benchs :woot: :

Glad I could help.

Well I’m very impressed. I’ve gone from around 4600 RAC to almost 7000:eek:

This is bringing me closer to my BOINC million and I’m now in the top 100 for Rosetta.

Drezha you beauty:thumbsup:

:Plot: I uploaded yesterday 150 simap WUs =) :bigdump:
now it’s time for a few rosetta wus

Nicely done to both

Didn’t really notice an improvement myself…but on second looks…I have. Even though many people still aren’t using the optimised clients, where they are it tells.

Congrats on the top 100 slot Juggy!

Why would an optimized BOINC client increase the crunching performance?

I thought that the BOINC client just provided a common control interface(scheduling, uploading/downloading) for the crunching applications.

It uses the CPU optimization when calculating the benchmarks of the PC.

As the formula for working out claimed credit is something like

time taken x benchmarks

it will give a higher claimed credit. Usually this will increase the points for the work unit slightly depending on the amount of units returned for one WU (ie SIMAP has 3, Rosetta has 1)
