I sold my old pc (duron 1,1ghz, 265sdram, 20GB) and now MAx proudly presents MY NEW TITAN
DELL Dimension 3100
Intel Pentium 4 (3GHZ)
1024 dual channel ddr2 400MHz (2x512)
80GB
so I think it’s time to climb the stats :afro:

if you need a new challenge try Simap
other than that glad to see the new hardware
Nice.
Does it have HT technology?
If your running BOINC and have Hyper threading turned on it should automtically act as if it’s got two cores and do 2 WU’s at a time.
Quite intrested in comparing an Intel HT processor to a standard AMD procesor and also a Intel dual core compared to an AMD dual core…
@binlala:
a challenge cool I’m in I think I will connect on friday or saturday to simap
@drezha:
ht is on =) two wus are at the same time in progress
here the benchmarks:
19.04.2006 22:51:36||Benchmark results:
19.04.2006 22:51:36|| Number of CPUs: 2
19.04.2006 22:51:36|| 1327 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
19.04.2006 22:51:36|| 1599 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU
19.04.2006 22:51:36||Finished CPU benchmarks
maybe get a customized core on there ?? might push them stats up a bit
yeah, an optimized core client or application specific works wonders!
this is my X2 3800+ (2.0ghz) at stock settings with a opt. core client
4/19/2006 10:50:06 PM||Benchmark results:
4/19/2006 10:50:06 PM|| Number of CPUs: 2
4/19/2006 10:50:06 PM|| 2764 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
4/19/2006 10:50:06 PM|| 8305 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU
Cant remember what they were before, but my Dhrystone about doubled, not so much on the Whetstone, maybe up 30%. The bad part to it is, that my computer claims much more credit tahn is usually granted, since most people dont use opt. clients…
Where would I get an optimised core for the following my Xeons/PIV/AMD?
Both are SSE2 right?
Get SSE and SSE2 here…

Sweet, here’s the before and after benchies.
Before
1180 Whetstone
1508 Drhystone
After
1775 Whetstone
2667 Drhystone
Damn, and that’s only the 1 P4:eek:
Thank you mister Drezha:thumbsup:
Xeon is
Before
1232 Whetstone
1260 Drhystone
After
1848 Whetstone
2074 Drhystone
I would have thought it would have increased the benchies more :eek:
My AMD64 double it’s Dhrystone mark…:s
but glad it helps you out…any increase is a good increase
Measured floating point speed 5001.92 million ops/sec
Measured integer speed 14817.99 million ops/sec
AMD Opertron 165 errrrrrr slightly cranked.
I recently got better results in benchie numbers from the latest alpha client 5.4.2 that on the 5.3.12 optimised. My xeons scored higher FPU speeds than int speeds, which was most confusing when used to the other way round on AMD. This biggest “gains” I’ve seen are using the 64bit optimised linux and or windows. They rock :headbang:
DT.
Now that is just childish;)
Is the alpha client any good?
I might try it.
Well, I’ve updated all my servers/pc’s except the home PC.
I retried the benchies twice for good measure and they got better on the second try:D
I added about 700 Whetstone to the Xeons and almost doubled the Dhrystone benchie. With the P4’s it practically doubled both.
I should get upto about 6K RAC with this if not more:nod:
:nod::nod::nod::nod:
I got one coming that I think will do 6500 floating point.! :scared:
Awesome, congratts on your 10K posts by the way:thumbsup:
Well this has added an extra 500 to my RAC overnight:eek:
I reckon it will top out at around 6K total:nod:
