I get back to uni to my main PC.
Dosn’t respond to the mouse or keyboard…Odd…
Restart and it does the same. hum…
So me being me I decide a reformat would be good.
Off I go reformatting…
Half way through the reformatting, I realise it’s because the batteries in the wireless mouse and keyboard are dead…
not 100% a neal moment as no danger to parts of the body usualy kept under clothing was involved,
I think we need to come up with another ’ moment’ for things being done before putting brain into gear
ok next question, how did you format if your kb and mouse batts were dead?
im guessing thats the point he worked it out preecey
Eject drive, insert recovery disc, reboot with front panel…
Reformatting = Automatically started then had to choose the options
So…
are you studying for a computing degree then? Is it too late to change career path?
Hohoho.
:haha:
i once spend 2 days trying to install windows on a friends computer… would get to the point where it wanted me to ACCEPT the legal stuff by pressing F8… but it seemed to freeze…
i found it wasn’t freezing… he had a f’ing Function Key on his keyboard that starts up on boot…
i had to turn it off to get the “REAL” F8 instead of something dodgy like Load Calculator, or what ever it was…
i tried diffrent cdroms, diffrent discs, diffrent ram, even diffrent ide cable til i noticed this dodgy Light next to ‘Num Lock’ which wasn’t ‘Scroll Lock’ or ‘Caps Lock’… after i press it and it worked, i just turn to him and all he said was … ‘ow, i forgot abuot that’… 2 F***ING DAYS!!! and i had to trek to and from my house each time something didn’t work…
