Need Windows XP Pro 32-bit disc

My Toshiba lappy won’t boot cause the pci.sys file is missing or corrupted. I’ve tried repairing it by attaching the HD to another machine and checking to see if the file has been accidently deleted, but it hasn’t. I bought the lappy off ebay with winXP Pro 32-bit pre-installed and no discs. It won’t even boot into safe mode.

The machine has a licence key, but I need the disc to try and do a repair install or full install if not possible. Any one got a disc I can borrow please?

Does it have a diag boot partition?

Thanks TFW. Looked around and checked the hardware. Seems RAM was causing the problem. Removed the RAM, booted without it, refitted the RAM and it’s all come back to life. Googling found this is a potential issue with XP, that I was not aware of. All working OK for now. Cheers for the offer anyway :thumbsup:
