New cruncher coming to the farm

The wife’s work PC bit the dust a few weeks ago. Her boss refuses to buy a new one and its put her at wits end. She’s finally convinced him a replacement is imperative and that I can put it in for them for less than $100. I’ve ordered a mobo to resurrect my old 1.2 GHz Thunderbird to work as her home machine and we’ll be delivering her PIII 600 to the office ASAP. Both will be running BOINC just as quick as I can get them going. The goal is to convince her of another upgrade in mid-2005 where I’ll upgrade my main rig to something more current and let her take over the XP2100+ and have the 1.2 take over the web server position. The current machine there is trashed and not even running at this point.

:woot: More crunchers. Way to go

WEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Nice one Ben

Awesome

Item delivered today, looks like I’ll need a couple of hours free this weekend.

Had the system ready Friday night but couldn’t get time to put it back in place until last night. Interested to see how it goes over the next few days. All of the units on the drive had expired, had to reset the project. I hated doing that.
